Private Chef - Kosher - Mayfair, London

As LJW Recruitment, specializing in recruiting top-tier hospitality and household staff, we are currently seeking a skilled Private Chef to join a prestigious private family home based in London, to work alongside another Chef on rota, for a busy family of 7, their occasional guests and staff meals.

Experienced in Kosher cuisine and Friday Shabbat (up to 10 guests, potentially 17 in total but not every week), along with knowledge of Keto and Gluten free diets. You will be responsible for preparing daily menus and adjusting according to dietary preferences, managing inventory, and purchasing fresh produce from local and international markets.

Suitable applicants will have experience as a private chef for HNW families and/or yacht experience. Housekeeper on hand in the kitchen to help with preparation, cleaning etc.

This is a rota position working 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, 7 days a week working long hours starting around 6:45am, to prepare breakfast for the children, their school lunch boxes etc, onto a light lunch for the Principals (usually later around 4pm), and thereafter dinner for around 7.30pm – family style cooking. Would therefore suit someone who lives in Central London due to the hours and travel, and flexible for last minute changing schedules.

This is a full-time role with a 3 week rotation on/3 weeks off, and you will be contracted to work exclusively for the family, both on and off rotation with some travel overseas, when required.

Key requirements:

  • A good knowledge of kosher and nutritional global cuisine

  • A relaxed yet highly organised manner with flexibility when required

  • Must possess the social and cultural skills required along with utmost discretion

  • Previous experience working in private households or yachts is preferred.

  • Availability to attend a cooking trial within the next 2-4 weeks

  • A portfolio including examples of your dishes and supporting written references

  • A current DBS and right to work in the UK - ideally GB or EU passport

Salary and Benefits: Up to £60,000 gross pa plus pro-rata statutory holiday leave and pension contribution.
