Part Time Housekeeper / Nanny - Earls Court, London

A flexible, Housekeeper/Nanny is required to start as soon as possible. This is a full time position with part time hours, Monday - Friday, from 1:00pm to 7:00pm, with some babysitting possible required, with the possibility of finishing earlier on the occasional Friday (although you may be required to work some weekends with time off in lieu).

Although this is a busy role Monday – Friday, the family typically travel to their weekend home on Friday afternoon and does not return until Sunday evening. Unless there are London events taking place, the role is Monday to Friday.

This is a young, creative family who have two children aged 11 and 9, looking for a calm, intelligent, experienced Housekeeper/Nanny who would be confident looking after two children when the parents are away for short periods, as well as being comfortable working in a shared charge environment. Someone who has had considerable experience with young children and is physically fit. Needs to have a flexible attitude, although the family will not be unreasonable in their requests.

Household Duties:

The role will include all household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, food preparation, shopping and simple family cooking. Someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who is happy to work in a fast paced environment with exceptional attention to detail. The role will include household administrative duties such as purchasing presents, returning clothing to department stores, matching receipts to statements, booking basic maintenance call outs such as carpet cleaning, window cleaning as well as ad hoc alarm and TV repairs. In addition the family has a house cat that will need to be cared for throughout the weekday

Nanny Duties:

This role involves picking the children up from school every day, structuring homework time, preparing supper, a bath and putting them to bed. Cooking healthy meals for the children will be required as will cleaning the children’s room, washing and ironing their clothes and making their beds. Sole charge when the parents are at work, also working alongside Mum two days a week.

General Requirements:

A friendly, hard-working, trustworthy and honest person required who has common sense and takes initiative. Needs to have a flexible attitude, and be good with young children. Good housekeeping experience. A driver would be an advantage but not essential. Someone who is discreet, unobtrusive and able to respect the family's privacy.

Salary:
