We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to work in a luxury triplex penthouse. .This position will provide a wonderful opportunity for those looking to learn many new skills and how the finest formal households operate.
This role will provide a structured work environment, and structured hours along with the opportunity to work alongside an established housekeeping team of service orientated professionals.
The housekeeping attendants will be responsible for maintaining the beautiful apartment, including: guest bedrooms, reception rooms and spa to the highest possible standard of cleanliness, presentation and good order.
Roles and Responsibilities
o Front of House duties to include cloakroom, meeting, greeting and directing guests.
o Cleaning, maintaining and presenting all rooms to the highest standard.
o Care of bedroom suites, changing beds and replenishing bath and bed linen as required.
o Undertaking personal maid duties for guests to include: running baths, help with dressing and serving trays in bedroom suites, packing, unpacking & wardrobe care.
o Making furniture and room adjustments to Principal’s and guest’s preference as requested.
o Cleaning and Care of antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and hard finishes.
o Must be able to work in the laundry including washing, sorting, pressing, spot cleaning, and having dry-cleaning awareness.
o Ability to operate the latest house systems (will train)
o Maintaining general cleanliness and the highest standards of hygiene throughout the house including in service areas and stock rooms.
o To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Head Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor or member of the senior management team.
o To attend all training courses as and when required.
o Willing to learn new skills and enhance current knowledge.
Health & Safety
o To ensure that all work undertaken is done so in a safe manner and in accordance with relevant approved codes of practice.
o To comply with all Health & Safety regulation including fire safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, staff, contractors and Principals.
o Previous housekeeping experience of at least 2 years in a deluxe 5* environment or a respected private home
o Good spoken English
o Highest standards of personal grooming.
o A critical eye for detail.
o Ability to work efficiently independently or as within the wider team.
o Must be flexible with working hours and adaptable to change which might include work at weekends and on bank holidays sometimes at short notice. Time will be given in lieu when overtime is worked.
Working 5 days and 48 hours per week, candidates must be flexible with working hours and adaptable to change. Operating 2 shifts, the early shift starts at 08:00 and the late shift finishes as 20:00. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and Bank Holidays. Time will be given in lieu when additional hours are worked. A uniform will be provided. The role is to start ASAP..
