British family seeking a Private Chef, who will also travel between their yacht and property in the South of France, 6 weeks of the year.
Duties consist of sourcing all food supplies, monitoring stock levels, cooking all lunches, dinners, snacks and occasional breakfasts as required (including meals for household staff / 4 persons), as well as shopping, organising dinner parties and catering for Family flights.
In addition, setting up kitchens and employing additional staff to help in busier periods. And, train staff on board yacht, to prepare food to the standard of which the family expect, in the absence of the Private Chef.
Other duties include handling supplier accounts and writing menus on a daily basis. You will have extensive knowledge and recipe base for specific dietary requirements, most notably a macrobiotic diet that (or at least basic knowledge on).
Types of food: Plant based / Mediterranean / Asian fusion / English. The family only eat produce and ingredients of the highest freshest quality. Wild Fish and Free Range grass fed animals where possible. Organic is paramount.
Must have private service experience, longevity in previous roles, and checkable references, and DBS. Hours: Monday - Friday 11am-9pm / Travel: to be flexible / £55k - £60k gross pa DOE, plus pension / Start end August.
