Butler / House Manager - Berwickshire, SE Scotland

The primary role of the Butler/House Manager is to ensure that he delivers all forms of service to the owner and their guests when in residence. The role includes the management, supervision and training of all household staff.  The Estate is run in a formal style of service, and should be kept in a state of preparation for occupancy at all times, allowing for family/guests to arrive at short notice.  It is, therefore, essential that the standard of cleaning and general maintenance of the Estate is impeccable.  The Butler/House Manager must ensure that correct standards and practices are maintained. They should develop a well-ordered routine for daily tasks during family visits, and an in-depth program to include specific tasks when the house is unoccupied.

Hours of work:   Off peak - Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, and Peak Times - Whatever hours are required to fulfil the criteria of the position.  It is understood that weekends will be worked during peak times.

Berwickshire, also called Berwick, is an historic county located in the south east of Scotland on the North Sea - approx. 1 hour & 20 mins drive from Edinburgh.
